Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who made her name with smart raps that addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a an edgy, comical perspective. She then expanded into Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Jazz, classical and hip-hop training began as she was in her teens.
